New Millennium College of Education is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. It is an unaided non-minority educational institution. The Curriculum and syllabus are laid down by Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai with which the college is affiliated to.

INTERNSHIP |
|
|
Regular teaching and systematic evaluation is assured. Internship is compulsory for the completion of the course, and is THOROUGH and SCIENTIFIC.
Each student teacher will have an intensive practice-cum observation in an identified school for a period of 16 Working weeks. The Internship will be related to standards 6,7,8 for Level I and 9,10,11,12 for Level II as the case may be.

DISCIPLINE |

An excellent standard of discipline is maintained. Every effort is taken to bring about an all-round development of personality of all the trainees. Further more, the trainees are encouraged to engage themselves in any social building endeavour as part of their voluntary service in association with organizations like the Rotary club, Rotaract, Lion’s Club, Jaycees etc. |

MOULDING THE CONDUCT AND DEMEANOUR OF THE TRAINEES |
|
|
Morning Assembly in the premises of the College starts every day at 9.45 am. This is compulsory for all the trainees.
Classes begin at 10.00 am for the morning session and at 2.00 pm for the Evening session. There are 3 hrs of teaching and learning in both the sessions. Trainees are made regular and punctual.
Shaping of the whole man, body, soul and mind in building a new world shall be the ultimate aim of the education imparted through this institution. |

PLACEMENT CELL |
|
|
A center for counselling students and arranging orientation programmes and campus interviews is functioning since recent past. The centre serves as a good guide to all students who are unaware of the world outside and seeking for a job. |

LANGUAGE LAB |
|
|
In accordance with the time and the flourishing job opportunities, spoken English has become an ever-needed commodity and communication skill is viewed as a golden skill. Well aware of this, the institution has provided a Language Lab with 12 Nos. systems attached with headphones for the trainee teacher to learn to listen and speak fluent English. |

ADMISSION |
|
|
Eligibility for Admission in to B.Ed., Degree Course
Pass in any U.G. Degree (in 10 + 2+ 3 Stream), with the same main subject in Part III, for which he/she is seeking admission to B.Ed., Course.
Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part III (Double or Triple) of the U.G. Degree have to choose only one of the main subjects and apply for the optional only.
Candidates with the following marks in the Bachelor’s Degree are eligible for admission to the programme other than Economics, Commerce and Home Science Subjects for which PG qualification will be mandatory.

- In the case pf Physically and visually challenged candidates, a minimum pass in the Degree is enough.
- Candidates with PG qualification and who have secured 50% of marks in PG Degree alone will be considered for Economics, Commerce and Home Science optional subjects.
- Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part III of U.G. Degree have to choose and apply for anyone of the Main subjects in B.Ed.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in Applied Mathematics can apply for Mathematics.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in Applied Chemistry can apply for Physical Science.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in Applied Physics, Geo-Physicals, Bio-Physics, Electronics can apply for Physical Science.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in Applied Bio-Technology, Plant Biology, Environmental Science, Micro-Biology can apply for Biological Science.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in applied Geography can apply for Geography.
- Candidates who have done their U.G. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Application etc. can apply for Computer Science.
- There is no age limit for admission in to B.Ed.,
