Educational Eligibility for admission to the T.T.I
The eligibility for admission to the DTE course is a pass in the Higher Secondary or any other equivalent examination, conforming to the norms set by the NCTE / State Govt.

Eligibility of Age
Applicants should not have completed 30 years of age as on 31st July of the respective year.
Not more than 35 yrs in the case of SC / ST / Physically Challenged.

Duration
The duration of the course is 2 academic years with not less than 220 working days each year.

The first three papers will be completed in the first year. Paper IV to VIII will be taught in both the years, focussing on teaching the respective subjects in Standards I to V in the first year and in Standards VI to VIII in the second year. Paper IX to XI will be spread over the two years as practical classes meant for Internal Assessment only.

Internship
Each student teacher will have an intensive practice cum observation in an identified school for a period of 40 days each year. The internship will be related to Standards I to V in the first year and Standards VI to VIII in the second year.
Internship will be preceded by 5 days of training in Micro teaching skills in the first year only.
